It highly recommend to install Fcitx from your distribution repository, here is some other distribution also package Fcitx.

Archlinux

run 

pacman -S fcitx fcitx-gtk2 fcitx-gtk3 fcitx-qt # last three is im module

as root.

Chakra

run 

pacman -S fcitx fcitx-gtk2 fcitx-gtk3 fcitx-qt # last three is im module

as root.
